Syd’s journey into piercing started young, at just 11 years old they got their first piercing at Human Kanvas. They knew then and there that they’d be back – not just as a client, but eventually as part of the team. With a strong passion for the primitive roots of piercing and the history behind body modifications, Syd could chat for hours about piercing rituals from around the world (and probably will, bring it up and you’re in for a treat!). In studio, Syd prides themself on creating balance and symmetry, taking the time to ensure each client leaves their room feeling confident with their newest adornment. Outside of the shop, you’ll find Syd front and center on our TikTok, spreading the word of the elusive Bigfoot of the piercing world, raccoon bites! Syd is piercing at both of our Airdrie locations, Wednesday and Sunday at First Ave, Thursday to Saturday at Yankee Valley.
